BMWs 2020 X2 crossover combines aerodynamic styling, sport-oriented engineering, and legendary BMW performance in a luxury SUV. BMW prefers the term SAV - Sports Activity Vehicle - when it comes to their line of SUVs, and this year's X2 wears that moniker proudly. A Plush and Well-Appointed Cabin
Well-appointed, comfortable and packed with BMW luxury, the 2020 X2 comes standard with dual-zone automatic climate control, leatherette upholstery, and 10-way driver's and front passenger's seats. Standard or available convenience features include a panoramic sunroof, a heated steering wheel, and remote keyless entry with push-button start.
World-Class Entertainment
BMW's Live Cockpit Professional infotainment system comes standard on all trims. Base systems come with 7-speakers, a 180-watt amplifier, and an AM/FM/HD radio with voice activation. Available to all X2 buyers, a 12-speaker, 360-watt Harman Kardon premium sound system takes entertainment to the next level. Both the standard, as well as the upgraded sound systems feature Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility and Bluetooth connectivity.
Technologically Advanced
The new BMW X2 comes loaded with a variety of advanced technologies. A standard colour touchscreen interface handles the X2's infotainment system as well as a wide range of other functions, including navigation and climate control. Standard BMW Navigation features operation via Voice Control, physical menu buttons, on-screen controls, or a BMW iDrive Touch Controller. Performance Comes Standard
Both sDrive28i and xDrive28i models come from the factory with a 2.0L I-4 DOHC 228hp turbo/supercharged engine that gets more than acceptable fuel economy at 7.7/11.0/9.5 L/100km (city, highway, combined). M35i trims come with a more powerful 2.0L I-4 DOHC 302hp turbo/supercharged plant that sacrifices little in the way of mileage with just slightly lower numbers than the 2.0-litre I-4. Both engines get linked to an 8-speed automatic transmission that features BMW's Steptronic sequential sport shift, drive mode select (Comfort, Sport, and Eco Pro modes), and overdrive.
X2 sDrive28i trims come with rear-wheel drive, while xDrive28i and M35i editions get full-time AWD. Notable ride control features include Servotronic speed-sensing electric power-assist rack-pinion steering, four-wheel independent suspension, speed-sensing steering, and Automatic Dynamic Damper Control with manual driver control. M35i models add even more handling ability thanks to M Sport Differential electro-mechanical limited-slip differential.
