Biggest Upgrades from the Previous Year
With the 2023 BMW X5 M50i comes a new look. The vehicle has received a complete facelift, which features a more angular and aggressive look. The kidney grills have been redesigned and made larger to allow for more airflow into the engine bay. And the engine has been upgraded as well, now producing 523 hp.
Interior Layout and Options
The interior of the X5 is as superior as the car itself. You are presented with seven different leather colour options. On the trim itself, you have an option between aluminium, piano black (at extra cost) and everyone's favourite carbon fibre (also at extra cost).
The vehicle has seating for five people, two in the front and three in back. The driver has an all-digital gauge cluster and an all-digital infotainment system at their fingertips. There is a heads-up display so the driver never has to take their eyes off the road, with all needed information displayed in front of the windscreen.
Exterior Layout and Options
The exterior of the X5 has 24 colour options, excluding the custom option where BMW allows you to choose a one-off colour. The vehicle has received a tasteful facelift, giving it a more aggressive look. The lights have all been changed to LED, and you also get 21” front and 22” rear wheels at no cost. When designing your specific X5, you are also given options for carbon fibre extras, like mirrors and side skirts.
Technology, Infotainment, and Connectivity
The infotainment system has been upgraded with all the newest technology as well. You get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with Bluetooth connectivity and an auxiliary input jack. There are 10 speakers across the vehicle, and the most-advanced technology the X5 has to offer is the speed-compensated volume control, which helps the vehicle adapt the volume as you drive in correlation with your speed.
Safety and Driver-Assistance Features
As far as safety goes, the 2023 BMW X5 M50i is top tier. The driver gets a lot of comfort thanks to the parking assistance, a BMW intelligent personal assistant, a heads-up display and a key that has an integrated touch display where some of the vehicle's features can be operated. You are also given lane-keep assist, corner control and adaptive cruise control.
