Upgrades From 2022
The 2023 BMW M8 gets a more sizable full-colour infotainment touchscreen and instrument cluster. You’ll get a wider range of unique exterior colour options to personalize your Competition two-door Coupe, four-door Gran Coupe, or Convertible M8.
Engine and Performance
The M8 is available in the Competition model, which has an all-wheel drive turbocharged V8 eight-speed automatic 4.4-litre engine, which produces an eye-searing torque at 553 lb-ft and 617 horsepower.
Under controlled test conditions, this hot number recorded zero to 100km/h in just 3.2 seconds. The M8 rocketed past the 0.40km mark at 196km/h in only 11.3 seconds, leaving its direct competition behind. Plus, it only takes 10.6 seconds to go from zero to 200km/h.
With a 76-litre fuel tank, your new M8 will give you approximately 7.3km/L combined, 6.2km/L in the city, and 9.17km/L on the highway. In addition, standard equipment to improve your ride quality includes adaptive suspension and active differential technology with compound brakes that meet the highest demands in performance driving and dynamic deceleration.
Exterior Options
As mentioned, you have more metallic colour options to spice up your new M8, a total of 67 different colour choices that include shades of the rainbow and metallics at no extra cost.
Your M8 will come standard with 50.8cm M Star-Spoke 811M Performance Non-RFT wheels (available in three designs, bi-colour, and black/grey). You can upgrade to black wheels with a more distinctive design, adding an extra $500 to the price. The exhaust has four tailpipes, and the roof comes in carbon.
Interior Options
There are a massive array of technology and comfort features, including a head-up display, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon premium sound system, Merino leather seating, sports seats in the front, automatic air conditioning, and a 31.24cm infotainment touchscreen with navigation. The Convertible has a 12-speaker sound system.
Driver-Assistance Features
Standard driver-assistance features include a lane-departure warning system, a forward collision warning system, cruise control with brake function, a reverse-assist camera, and a parking assistant.
There are two available driver-assistance upgrade packages available. The standard upgrade package gets you blind-spot intervention, rear-cross traffic alert, an automated parking system, and a 360-degree camera. The Professional package gets you additional upgrades including, but not limited to, night vision with pedestrian control, and carbon ceramic brakes.
