2023 BMW i7 xDrive60
The 2023 BMW i7 xDrive60 blew us away in all respects. This sedan will be available to purchase for $150,735. Find out more about what you can expect to get below.
Engine and Performance
Weighing in at a hefty 1,875 pounds per tire, the i7 xDrive60 can still accelerate from zero to 100km/h in just 4.5 seconds. This is impressive for the sedan’s enormity, and it’s greatly thanks to the power the vehicle draws from the two electrified motors and the 101.7kWh lithium-ion battery pack.
You can expect over 480km on a fully charged battery pack and look forward to 536 horsepower and 549 pound-feet of torque. The i7 xDrive60 also can replenish relatively fast (128.7km in just 10 minutes) on a 195-kW DC charging port.
In addition, the rear and front axles are configured on an all-wheel drive system. The manufacturer has also cleverly installed 48.26cm aero alloy wheels configured on air suspension (with 285/35 and 255/40 R21 Bridgestone tires) to improve the sedan’s EV range. You can upgrade to 50.8cm or 53.34cm alloy aero alloy wheels.
The i7 comes standard with BMW’s integral active steering technology, which enables the vehicle to turn the rear wheels up to 3.5 degrees in each direction. This technology means that when you make small turns in the steering wheel (at speeds up to 48km/h), the front and rear wheels will turn in opposite directions (up to 3.5 degrees). This gives the effect of a shortened wheelbase resulting in an enhanced ability to manoeuvre the vehicle.
Interior and Technology
BMW has gone far and beyond all expectations with the i7 xDrive60’s interior and technology. We were simply blown away by the enormity of the cabin (at 538.9cm), the extent of creature comforts, and entertainment features.
Your rear passengers will be impressed and spoiled with the right backseat that can recline up to 42.5 degrees and the optional 78.7cm cinematic screen (priced at an estimated $4,750) with a 32:9 panoramic format. In addition, you can fold down the driver’s seat, which creates a lounge-type arrangement in the rear. Other specs include access to various entertainment functions on touchscreens mounted in the doors.
Other upgrades include the optional Bowers and Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound system with a 36-speaker 1965-Watt amplifier. You’ll also have options between vegan, leather, cloth, cashmere, or wool seat covers.
