What’s New?
The i4 series is the first in the fully electric Gran Coupé models range. It offers better highway mileage and fuel efficiency than previous models and comes equipped with the latest technology. You can drive up to 484km, in optimal conditions, before needing to recharge your vehicle. The vehicle can seat five people and offers ample storage space, making it a dynamic yet comfortable drive.
Features
Following the traditional Coupé design, this sporty sedan offers style and comfort all rolled into one. The front kidney grill design conceals the latest invisible sensor technology to provide a safer driving experience. The car’s exterior showcases the blue trim the BMW i models are known for, and elegant yet sporty lines shape the car. There are over 13 vehicle colours, with 14 luxurious leather upholstery options. You can also choose between eight interior trim colours.
You can switch between three driving modes: Sporty, Comfort and Eco Pro. The cabin is driver-oriented, with a 31.24cm instrument cluster and a 37.85cm Control Display showcased in a curved display on the dashboard. You also enjoy a large luggage compartment that can take up to 470 litres. With the back seats folded down, that number can go up to 1,290 litres of volume.
Specs
The rear-mounted eDrive40 drivetrain uses a powerful 83.9kWh lithium-ion high-voltage battery and has an aerodynamic and lightweight design that ensures you get the best out of it. It can get up to 335 hp and 429.79 nm of torque while driving and has an automatic transmission. Like most electric sedans, it has an extremely low city fuel efficiency of 2.1L/100 KM and a nearly identical highway efficiency of 2.2L/100 KM.
Pricing
The eDrive40 starts at a base price of $61,390, but after tax, freight costs and fees, you’re looking at around $65,125. The starting price can go up to $85,475 depending on the extra features you add, excluding any packages. You can add the M Sport Pro package for $1,750 and the M Sport Package for $2,500.
