2021 BMW 2 Series Coupé
What's New for 2021?
For 2021, interior tech levels have been enhanced with the introduction of Apple CarPlay compatibility and SiriusXM satellite radio as standard across the range, while the price of the optional in-built navigation has been slashed to make it an even more attractive upgrade.
BMW 2 Series Buying Options
Exterior and Styling
All models in the range are enticingly attractive from the exterior, but its the coupé version which really sets the pulse racing. The body is compact enough to provide a genuine streamlined sports feel, although in fact the interior dimensions rival a BMW sedan for roominess and comfort. And while the 2 Series might be one of the more affordable BMW models, the exterior styling offers a vastly more upscale impression.
High-End Performance Options
There's a pair of engine choices available with the 2021 2 Series Coupé, and neither of them will disappoint even the most demanding of drivers. The entry level mill is a beefy 2.0L turbo model putting out 248 horsepower and 258lb-ft of torque, resulting in highly responsive and confident performance without any turbo lag to spoil the experience.
However, those with a real need for speed should trade up to the 3.0L turbocharged inline-six with its 301 horsepower and 332lb-ft, capable of thrusting the coupé from 0-100kmh in just 4.3 seconds.
Both powertrains are available with a six-speed manual gearbox for an old-school feel, but in truth the silky eight-speed automatic transmission offers a smoother and more satisfying drive, especially when coupled with the all-wheel drive that's standard on all but the entry-level trim.
Interior
The 2 Series interior might not be quite as lavish as its more expensive cousins, but it still offers a thoroughly upscale experience. Soft Nappa leather accents combine with driver-oriented instruments and displays to make driving the 2 Series a true pleasure.
Infotainment
Technology abounds in the 2 Series Coupé's cabin, with a 12.3" digital instrument cluster accompanied by a 10.25" control display. The second screen is used to access the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant software, featuring active learning to automatically tailor its display to your preferences. Real-time traffic updates and Apple smartphone connectivity are included as standard, while in-dash navigation is available as a low-cost extra.
Safety Technology
Lastly, the 2021 BMW 2 Series Coupé comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of safety systems, with standard features including forward collision warnings, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warnings, and more.
